SL102 – INTRODUCTION TO EM7
Introduction to EM7 will familiarize all users with the concepts, user interface, and features of EM7. Students will learn to navigate the system, manage tickets and search the knowledge base.
Audience: Any user

• Develop an understanding of EM7 features and functions
• Learn to navigate the EM7 user interface to access information
• Adjust user preferences to customize their user interface
• Become familiar with the information stored for devices, assets, etc
• Manage events and tickets
• Search for information contained within the guides, notes, and knowledge base

SL201 – ADMINISTERING EM7
Designed to bring operations staff up-to-speed on basic administration of the EM7 system. Students will learn how to add, modify, and delete users, organizations, devices, and assets.
Audience: Network Engineers, System Administrators, NOC staff

• Learn to administer user, organization, and vendor accounts
• Introduce the Dynamic Discovery process
• Develop an understanding of how to administer devices
• Learn to create monitoring policies
• Become familiar with administering asset records, network interfaces, and IP networks

SL202 – ADVANCED ADMINISTRATION
Anyone responsible for integrating EM7 into an organization will benefit for this advanced class which focuses on customizing EM7 for a specific customer environment. Administrators will learn how to create user templates, setup ticket queues and escalations, customize drop-down lists and event definitions, design Dynamic Fields and Forms, and integrate EM7 with other applications.
Audience: EM7 Administrator

• Become familiar with the system administration responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of how to control access to information
• Learn to customize the system and ticket features
• Learn how to integrate EM7 with other systems via email, RSS feeds, and Dynamic Applications

SL203 – DYNAMIC APPLICATIONS
Experienced EM7 administrators will discover how to leverage Dynamic Ppplications to customize monitoring for their specific computing environment.
Audience: Advanced EM7 Administrators and Power-Users

• Develop an understanding of Dynamic Applications
• Learn to add device categories, classes, and MIBs
• Learn to create Dynamic Applications with customized reporting, events and notifications
